We are planning a wildlife photo trip to Brazos Bend State Park on Saturday, April 25th. A morning departure and times are still being worked out so stay tuned. Spring is the time for getting out in the outdoors for wildlife before heat and humidity make it more challenging. I am creating an event so please RSVP if interested. State parks have entrance fees and we will stop for lunch on the way back. Stay tuned for more details.

We will meet at the Baptist Church parking lot just before 7:30 am on Tuesday, April 7th and head down to the coast with a quick stop at Shoveler Pond in the Anahuac NWR and then down to Smith Oaks at High Island. This week should be good as nests have been built and eggs laid so hopefully we will see chicks in some of the nests. We will head home around noon and stop in Winnie for lunch before heading home. I'd suggest bringing snacks, water and plenty of bug spray and of co
