When: Saturday, March 22nd from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Where: The Hindu Temple of The Woodlands
Address: 7601 S Forest Gate Dr. The Woodlands
This is one of the most popular festivals in the Hindu culture, The Festival of Colors, and to be more specific BRIGHT colors made from colored corn starch that is thrown into the air and on to participants. There is a 1 KM Color Run where those running are anointed with color. There will also be food, live music and dancers at the event.
We will meet at the Kingwood First Baptist Church and we should carpool as many as possible as parking can be an issue at the event. Plan to leave Kingwood by 9:30 so as to get to the event, park, and find good spots for photos. Plan on bringing something to cover and protect your camera if the action gets a bit too close (plastic bag). I've done events like this before and never had any issues but it's best to be cautious. Wear comfortable clothes that are easily cleaned, the colors are non-toxic and biodegradable. If you are sensitive to dust, consider wearing a leftover mask from Covid.
